My Story

My journey into floristry was born out of my love of gardening. When my husband gave me a book entitled “Gardening in your Nightie” it was incredibly apt. Any spare moment I was potting or weeding or sowing or snipping. Courses at Jane Packer, Pulbrook & Gould & The Sussex Flower School, amongst others, made my passion for sharing my flowers with friends a reality. Flowering a community fundraiser lead to becoming a working florist. The combination of my favourite David Austin rose & originally picking from the beautiful private gardens of other generous gardeners - Generous Gardener was created in 2017.
